Mental Health Support

During her struggle in her role as a parent, our co-founder Nicole was fortunate enough to have access to a licensed counselor. This professional support enabled her to address her fears and anxieties, all while resolving issues that were affecting her effectiveness as a parent, especially during crisis periods.

Having personally experienced the benefits of accessible mental health care, Nicole prioritized providing similar resources to all parents through One More Moment, regardless of their ability to pay.

If a parent expresses interest in therapy, One More Moment assists in matching them with a licensed counselor suited to their needs. We help schedule the initial appointment and cover the costs for the first eight sessions, including any out-of-pocket expenses, copayments, or the entire amount for uninsured parents. Typically, when parents are in survival mode and advocating for their children, their focus tends to be on finding services for their children, often neglecting their own mental health. At One More Moment, we aim to alter this narrative. We believe that when a parent is supported and nurtured, it contributes to the well-being of the entire family.
